This is “Parrot,” writing for Bobbie. Regular readers of this blog have been wonderfully supportive of Bobbie and me over the last three years. Many of you have said that learning about our relationship in these pages has enhanced yours.
It is my sad duty to inform everyone that Bobbie passed away unexpectedly on November 18. The outpouring of love from her thousands of readers, most of whom knew her only from her writing on this blog, has been comforting to all of us who loved her—especially for me. She was my friend, my love, my muse. I will miss her more than words can say.
Bobbie put a tremendous amount of love and creative energy into A Good Woman’s Dirty Mind. She was continually amazed at the effect her words had on her thousands of readers.
I can’t promise to keep up this blog the way Bobbie did; I don’t have the kind of energy and discipline she did. It has been such an important resource for so many people that it would be a crime to extinguish it. I’ll be able to keep it running for at least the near future.
None of us knows how much time has been given to us. The last time Bobbie and I spoke, it was to say, “I love you.” I hope everyone reading this will reach out to those dearest to them and say those simple words.
