Saucy Saturday Stories: Sex Bloggers Give the Best Sex Advice

I’ve never been a big fan of Cosmo. For the most part, I’ve always felt that its sex advice tips were sanitized, if not silly. That’s why I had a really silly laugh when I saw Buzz Feed’s video, Guys React to Cosmo’s Wildest Sex Tips.

It’s part of the reason why I spearheaded #AdultSexEdMonth last June and am working on plans for it again this June. Sex bloggers often include their personal experiences in what they write. If they can’t do that, they’re pretty diligent about tracking down sexperts or doing some serious research. None of us wants readers or fellow sex bloggers to call bullshit on us. I also like that most sex bloggers don’t cloud their writing in euphemisms. They communicate about sex the way grownups should.

But I’m all about sharing #adultsexed stories on Twitter (follow the hashtag) all year long, too. That’s why I’m sharing some great recent stories from some of my favorite blogs and bloggers in today’s Saucy Saturday Stories. Why wait until June to share information that should be shared and read 365 days a year?

AGWDM andeeHow Do I Get Her To ___________?, Andee Sexy Northern Angel

If there is one consistent reaction that my borrowed statistics within my random Tweets produce it’s the question from guys on how to get their wife/girlfriend to do something sexually specific. Whether it’s dress up in lingerie, give oral sex, use a vibrator or jump in bed with a third person, the “how do I” is rooted in trying to encourage the person they love to be more adventurous. Fetish Friday: Talking BDSM – are safewords really necessary?, Cara Sutra

There’s a worrying trend in BDSM to spurn the use of safewords. For me, safewords are not an optional extra, they are a requirement for ‘play’. I use the term play not to lessen the importance of kinky activities, but rather as an umbrella term for anything that could be described as being part of BDSM. (Read more … )

It’s Spring Break, and for those of you who aren’t celebrating on the sandy shores yourself, chances are, you may be hampered by someone else’s spring break.(Read more …)

The Silent Treatment vs Talking Through the Rough Patches, Daily Plate of Crazy

When your lover or spouse doesn’t want to talk, what do you do? Nag him until he spills whatever is going on? Allow time to do its thing, hoping eventually he opens up? (Read more …)

Orgasm: Dental Floss for Her Mental Health, I Married a Sex God

Studies show that only 49% of the US population flosses their teeth every day, and other studies show that one in three women have difficulty reaching an orgasm reliably. Flossing your teeth regularly plays a major role in dental health just as having satisfying orgasms regularly plays an important role in physical and mental health. (Read more …)

AGWDM kinkly submissionA Beginner’s Guide to Submission, Kinkly

A submissive is an individual who willingly relinquishes control to another person, usually to satisfy a sexual urge. If you’re here reading this, chances are the thought of relinquishing control to another person has piqued your interest or has even gotten your sexual juices flowing, so to speak. Think you’re odd? What do you think of the assumption that men more easily separate sex from emotions?, Maxime Durocher

People say that men are more able to separate sex into something that is just an activity where as women usually assign some kind of emotion to sex. (Read more …)

5 ways a woman can watch, Sexy Little Ideas

It turns out it’s quite hard for a woman to see her own genitals. Unless she is a contortionist or uses external aids, her vagina is tucked neatly away in the shade of her pubic bone. This makes it difficult to see even on a sunny day when she is by herself and nearly impossible to glimpse during the sex act, should she be so inclined. (Read more …)

The information on your site is the best I’ve seen anywhere in one place! I looked at and signed up for half of what was offered! Andee was my favorite! I think Cosmo is fun to read but mostly for laughs! ( Speaking strictly as a man). Great Job! Lots of work I bet!

    • Thanks! I hope you’re following Andee’s blog now, too. Regarding Cosmo, I’ve gotten subscriptions as gifts and rarely read them. I like a lot more substance in my reading. That’s why I’m such a big fan of sex bloggers.
